Vale keeps up the great recent record of MDGA

Sponsored by Paul Dalby of Manchester Trophy Market

After enjoying some excellent weather and courses in top condition the Manchester Alliance again enjoyed an excellent day at the superb Reddish Vale Golf Club which has been drawing rave reviews for the quality of its historic Mackenzie course throughout the year.

There were again tight finishes in all three divisions with the top individual pros Josh Crumplin (Disley) and Richard Booth (Hale) both on 40 points, one more than OoM leader Jamie Howarth (Davenport).

Josh made his a double as he received excellent support from his partner Chris Jackson (Tytherington) to amass 45 points and top the pro am section ahead of Craig Daggitt and Gary McCoy (Bramall Park) 44 and Ben Thompson and Matt Foster (Werneth Low) and Jack Wiggans and fashion model Graham Moores (Chorley) on 43.

It was even hotter in the am am section with a cpo on 42 going in favour of Ian Fearns (Stamford) and Paul Ralph (Hazel Grove) from Nick Griffiths and Mike Peters (Disley) and Ashton-on-Mersey stars John Aikenhead and Gary Denman.

The nearest the pin prize was won by Sean Blinkhorn (Leigh).

Alliance President Ian Brooks gave deserving thanks to all of the players for their excellent golf and co-operation to his small team of organisers and all at Reddish Vale for their friendly welcome, help and service on the day.
