The Hancock Trophy for Mixed Pairs was a regular MDGA fixture at Sale Golf Club for many years and saw pro am and am am mixed pairs competing for the coveted trophy.

This year it was held at Davyhulme Park GC with help from their pro Martyn Hamer and only featured amateur pairings.

On a pleasant day of weather Davyhulme provided an immaculate and interesting course enjoyed by all of the players backed by good off course hospitality.

On the day it provided an unprecedented clean sweep for Castle Hawk GC who had all of the top three pairs.

Leading in for them were Lindsey Brassington and Nick Boyd with a great haul of 49 points.

It left them four points clear of Jeanette Venables and Kevin Glover who won a cpo from Rachel Clifford and Cameron Connolly.

he only other pair to make the leader board were home duo Janine Fox and Paul Barton with 43.

The nearest the pin prize was won by Anna Lomas of Ashton under Lyne GC.
