Fantastic new facility opens at Regent Park Golf Centre

There was a full attendance of members, guests and friends at Regent Park Golf Centre in Bolton for the official opening of No 19 The Lodge by the Mayor of Bolton Cllr Andrew Morgan and it was a huge success.

Robin Day, the Managing Director of Regent Park, has spent 23 years investing and transforming the facility.

Robin outlined the new development:
“The new clubhouse was opened nearly two years ago after a huge investment and refurbishment aiming at creating the most modern and welcoming clubhouse in golf.

It has proved so popular that 5,100 local people have signed up to become social members in under two years.

No 19 The Lodge is a further investment as an Events/Wedding Venue with its own entrance, lobby. Toilets, beautiful private room and bar and its own private enclosed South facing terrace overlooking the 18th green.

The most recent investments in No19 - The Clubhouse and No 19 -The Lodge have cost around £1.5m and this has been funded by the company taking our total investment in Regent Park Golf Centre to just over £4m.

I would like to give a big thank you to all of the team at Regent Park and a special thank-you to my oldest friend and long-time business supporter Mark Horrocks for his significant financial input to both The Clubhouse and Lodge.

At Regent Park we are committed to modernising and growing the game and making golf as accessible as possible and appealing to as many people as possible.

We have secured planning permission for an 18 hole Adventure Golf Course which will be our next investment and we will aim to introduce even more people into golf and to Regent Park.”
