Great effort for Manchester Mind at Ringway

RINGWAY Golf Club Lady Captain Geraldine Senior was delighted with the success of a Charity Ladies Luncheon at her club which saw in excess of £3,500 raised for her chosen charity of Manchester Mind.

Geraldine said:
“I chose Manchester Mind as my Lady Captain’s charity as it is a local independent self-funded charity who have promoted better health for over 30 years.

Around 7,000 young people and adults access their support services in our local communities.

Following the pandemic it was evident that many people were struggling with their daily lives and this is where Manchester Mind step in.

I held a Charity Ladies Luncheon at the golf club with a fashion show, shopping, entertainment and raffle to raise funds and to highlight the charity in what was Mental Health Awareness Week.

Over 140 lady members of the club and their guests attended a fun afternoon and it raised over £3.500 for this worthwhile charity which will go towards the support services Manchester Mind offer to those in need.

The day was attended by Manchester Mind representative Joanna Huddart who outlined the work the charity does in the community.

I would like to thank all who gave great support and generosity on the day and also many local businesses who donated very kindly to the raffle and also to the wonderful staff at Ringway who helped to make it happen.

I will be hosting a charity Am Am on September 22 at Ringway along with Captain Keith Spencer to raise more funds.
